Completed in 2017 and located in the Avenues neighborhood, this house was a 1950s era bungalow with terrific southern and eastern views toward the valley and surrounding mountains. This unique project re-used the existing foundation and first floor but completely gutted everything else in the existing house. Then, a second story was added along with an addition out the back. Designed and built using Passive House principles (read: lots of insulation, quality windows, airtight construction and heat recovery ventilation), the house provides modern living in an urban setting near downtown SLC.
