Principal ArchitectDave sketched his first floor plan in 6th grade and has had a lifelong passion for drawing and building everything from furniture and cabinetry to complete buildings. After many detours including a year in Europe, an anthropology degree, and work as a bicycle mechanic, carpenter, and head waiter in Chicago's most famous wine bar, he eventually completed formal architecture studies. This was followed by internships at firms in Chicago, San Francisco and Minneapolis, before falling in love with the mountains and desert of Utah where he founded Brach Design in 2005.
